Enrolments for the current year

Children are eligible for school if they turn five prior to 30 April in the year they attend. If your child was born 1 May 2016 – 30 April 2017 they are eligible to attend school in 2022.
The Holy Trinity Catholic Parish (previously Parish of Laverton) comprises five schools within the Parish boundary. The Parish is in a major growth corridor in the Western suburbs of Melbourne and each school has a catchment zone:
St Martin De Porres
Queen of Peace
St Mary of the Cross
Applications will be considered in the following order of priority:
- Baptised Catholic children residing in the designated zone/catchment area of the Laverton Parish
- Brothers and sisters of students currently enrolled in the school
- Baptised children from Christian religions which share a special relationship with the history and traditions of the Catholic Church
- Non-Catholic children
Enrolment Process & Timeline for Prep 2022
1. APPLICATIONS ARE NOW OPEN – ENROL HERE
Following our Prep Enrolment launch held 16 March 2021, all registered will receive a Prep 2022 application form and information pack via email. Parents/Guardians should complete the online application with all the required documentation to be uploaded, no later than Friday 23 April. There is a $50 non-refundable application fee for all Prep applications. (For Years 1-6 enrolment enquiries, please refer to the general Enrolments section of our website).
We are pleased to be able to offer the opportunity to visit Queen of Peace in 2021 for an outdoor tour of the school and to ask questions. Principal Darren Gibbons and Deputy Principal Michael Ozbun will be available. No need to make a booking. Please meet in front of the school office at 9:30am on either Tuesday 23, Wednesday 24 or Thursday 25 March. Each tour will be completed by 10 am.
Families may be invited to an enrolment interview with the Principal or Deputy Principals to take place in July/August. Depending on the number of applications received, some families may be advised they have been placed directly on to the waiting list and interview may not be offered.
The offer of a place at a Holy Trinity Parish Schools will be emailed to successful applicants by 3 September. Subsequent second round offers may be forwarded depending upon availability. Families with a child already attending the school will be notified shortly after the interview if a place is available. All places are offered at the Principal’s discretion.
4. ACCEPTANCE OF OFFER
Prep 2022 families must then return the Enrolment Acceptance documentation to the school along with $100 Enrolment Acceptance Fee by Wednesday 15 September 2021. Please note that this amount will be credited to your family’s school account. (Families applying for Years 1-6 must return the acceptance by the date specified on their Offer of Place).
5. TRANSITION / ORIENTATION PROGRAM
At Queen of Peace this is usually held in late October/November. Details will be forwarded to families early Term 4.
Queen of Peace Primary School’s Enrolment Policy is consistent with the Enrolment Policy for the Archdiocese of Melbourne and adhered to by the five Parish Primary Schools in the Holy Trinity Catholic Education Community.
